Decentralization of power using system/concept called Shakti Kendra by BJP in Mahadevapura Karnataka.

Our MLA Shri Arvind Limbavali has successfully implemented Shakti Kendra system in our constituency.

Our assembly is one among a largest assembly in Bangalore with 6 lakh+ registered voters, 115 square kilometers area. This area has 14 wards. Each ward has 25 to 30 booths and 5 to 7 Shakti Kendras each.

Roughly our constituency has about 90 Shakti Kendra and 14 wards. For these offices we have presidents and secretaries which are party positions. Of course all of this is voluntary work in the service of the community.

Shakti Kendra representatives try to collaborate and keep in touch with Resident Wellfare Associations or community/apartment residents associations.

Shakti Kendra team acts like a bridge between MLA’s office and different departments. They help collect feedback, raise issues, get traction and try to get funding and solutions from MLAs office. They also help monitor the work. As they have better context and understanding of the local issues they have say in where the funds are spent.

This system had created 100+ leaders who work under MLA in driving development and improving standards of living.

My home or community I live in is part of Haraluru Shakti Kendra, we have seen lot of work delivered by this team like roads, water, gas connection and UGD etc.

Usually it is not easy for a MLA to dilute her or his powers and trust 100+ leaders to make wise decisions along with community members. But here I see this model example.

This is one of the reason why I really love working with our leader Shri Arvind Limbavali ji and our constituency.

#leadership. #decentralization. #shaktikendra #BJP
