Clapping and lighting diyas , why I support these symbolic gestures??

It is super important we build and supply required infrastructure, capacity, staff, equipments, gears, testing kits etc. We should continue to scale up our capacity using every possible resources at our disposal. We should continue to remain in our homes as long as experts suggest.

Along with this, in this war against COVID19 another super important aspect is MINDSET with which 130 crore Indians will go through this phase.

I have observed many great leaders and coaches really understand the importance and power of “#MINDSET”.

Skills, IQ, facilities, equipments etc will take us to some good distance, beyond which it is the #MINDSET which determines our success and failure.

More stressful and difficult the situation is, more important becomes the #MINDSET of people involved.

Symbolic gestures to express our gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, janitors, govt officers , asha or angawadi staff etc instills and establish “gratitude” towards them. This helps us maintain our good behavior in our toughest times. It helps to establish trust and respect which is a foundation for a team work. Setting up this mindset of gratitude, empathy, trust and respect is super important. There are few cases being reported of people who are not behaving and cooperating with health officials and volunteers. Hope those incidents makes us all realize how important these gestures are.

Symbolic gesture to light candles to express our solidarity in this hardest fight is super important.

Lot of people are going through huge anxiety issues. Thanks to information and fake information overload from social media and news media. In this moment feeling that you are alone caused more anxiety and leads to more bad and selfish behaviors. Knowing that you are not alone in this fight and 130 crore people are together in this fight is a very powerful idea. If we really internalize this idea it will help us navigate these stressful times.

Please note, stress and anxiety will reduce your body’s immunity. Positive emotions like gratitude, empathy, solidarity and happiness will help you maintain and improve your immune response.

I kindly request you to participate in these events and help develop the positive mindset required to sail though this hard time.
